Rediscovering Your Career in Motherhood

Finding purpose and balance

Becoming a mother can be a major transformation and dramatically impact your career. But despite the challenges, you do not have to give up on having a fulfilling career if that is what you want, nor must you sacrifice the other things in life that are truly important to you in order to achieve success.

In this workshop we will explore what it is you want out of your career given your current priorities in life. We will also learn how to balance career aspirations and realities with motherhood, as well as with the other important dimensions of your life (such as health, personal development and relationships).

The workshop will contain specific tips and strategies to rediscover your purpose, manage your time more effectively and intentionally, combat burnout and overwhelm, and adjust when life throws you curveballs.

Meet Alona

Alona Shaked is an executive and lifestyle coach who shows women how to turn their major life challenges into purposeful, fulfilling careers and lives. She started out her career as a lawyer at a big firm. When she was 28 years old, she was suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer, which completely changed her perspective on what she wanted out of life and how she wanted to be spending her precious time.

After beating breast cancer and traveling the world, she transitioned into nonprofit management. She is also an IVF mama, writer, & women’s health activist. While taking a sabbatical from her job as an Executive Director in order to go through fertility treatments and build her family, she trained to become a coach. She has now helped dozens of clients across the globe thrive through life’s challenges, find their purpose, and  succeed and grow in their careers and personal lives.

Alona received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. She now lives in Portland, OR with her husband Oren, miracle daughter Ella, and Franklin the Labradoodle.
